Priorities
Healthcare and Mental Health
Equal access to mental healthcare is a fundamental right, and every member of our community deserves inclusive, high-quality services—regardless of income or insurance status. The opening of our local mental health center is a meaningful step forward, but more work remains. We must expand language accessibility, strengthen community outreach, and address transportation barriers that prevent many District 1 residents from receiving care in other parts of the county. As a County Board Member, I am committed to advancing equitable policies and removing barriers so all residents can access the mental health support they need and deserve.
Affordable Housing
DuPage County is committed to expanding access to affordable housing throughout the region. We need a focus on communities like Addison, Bensenville, and Wood Dale to ensure every resident has the opportunity to thrive. These efforts must prioritize our most vulnerable populations—including children, seniors, survivors of domestic violence, veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness—while increasing affordable housing options in underserved areas. As a County Board Member, I will advocate for the expansion of affordable housing grants and champion a comprehensive approach that integrates housing with essential support services, fostering stability, equity, and well-being for all DuPage County residents.
Accessible Transportation
DuPage County has invested in transportation infrastructure, and these funds must be strategically directed to expand accessibility across the district—particularly in underserved and low-income areas where reliable transit creates pathways to economic opportunity and stronger community engagement. As a County Board Member, I am committed to advancing equitable and sustainable transit systems by working collaboratively with community leaders and stakeholders. Together, we can build inclusive infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of our residents while promoting environmental stewardship and long-term resilience.
Safety
The safety and security of our community is of the utmost importance. It is vital that we approach the issue of community safety through a multi-faceted approach. While funding of law enforcement is important, polities should not wait until a party has been injured and police have been called to keep our communities safe. It is important to explore preventative programs, from accessibility to mental health services and services to provide for out community's basic needs. A preventative approach not only creates a truly safe environment for residents of DuPage County, but also protects our law enforcement officers.
Economic Resilience
One of the County Board’s strategic goals is to cultivate an innovative and inclusive policy environment that empowers businesses to thrive, ensures access to diverse and affordable workforce housing, and advances sustainable, long-term economic growth that benefits all residents. We must continue uplifting our diverse workforce by supporting small businesses and fostering a thriving economy. This includes advocating at the federal level for workforce development funding to sustain critical programs and continuing support for Innovation DuPage, which empowers startups, entrepreneurs, and connects colleges with essential resources to build the next generation of innovation.
Intergovernmental Communication
Effective intergovernmental communication is essential to fostering collaboration and addressing the needs of our county. As a candidate for the County Board, I am committed to building strong, transparent relationships with neighboring municipalities, state agencies, and federal partners. I will advocate for equitable funding, resources, and legislation that strengthen our communities and enhance the well-being of all residents.
