Priorities
Healthcare and Mental Health

Equal access to mental healthcare is a fundamental human right. Every member of our community deserves inclusive, high-quality services—regardless of insurance status or income level. While the opening of our local mental health center is a critical step forward, there is still more work to be done. We must expand language accessibility and strengthen community outreach to ensure residents are fully informed about available services. Additionally, transportation remains a significant barrier for many in District 1 seeking care in other parts of the county. As a County Board Member, I am committed to advancing equitable policies and breaking down barriers to ensure that all residents can access the mental health support they need

Affordable Housing

Our commitment to expanding affordable housing in DuPage County remains unwavering, with a dedicated investment of $2.5 million to increase access across the region. It is essential that these efforts prioritize communities such as Addison, Bensenville, and Wood Dale—ensuring all residents have the opportunity to thrive. We must also center the needs of our most vulnerable populations, including children, survivors of domestic violence, veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness. As a County Board Member, I will advocate for the expansion of affordable housing grants and champion a comprehensive, multi-layered approach that pairs housing with essential support services—strengthening the well-being and stability of all DuPage County residents

Accessible Transportation

Approximately $2 million of the DuPage County budget has been allocated to support transportation infrastructure. These funds must be strategically directed to improve accessibility across the district—especially in underserved and low-income areas, where reliable transit can open doors to economic opportunity and greater community participation. As a County Board Member, I am committed to strengthening our transit systems through collaborative efforts with community leaders. Together, we can build a sustainable, inclusive infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of our residents while advancing environmental responsibility.

Safety

The safety and security of our community is of the utmost importance. It is vital that we approach the issue of community safety through a multi-faceted approach. While funding of law enforcement is important, polities should not wait until a party has been injured and police have been called to keep our communities safe. It is important to explore preventative programs, from accessibility to mental health services and services to provide for out community's basic needs. A preventative approach not only creates a truly safe environment for residents of DuPage County, but also protects our law enforcement officers.

Economic Resilience

Our county board champions initiatives that foster arts, sports, and community events, generating both social and economic capital. It is essential that we continue to support our diverse workforce by NEED MORE INFORMATION.  As a County Board member, I will advocate for comprehensive healthcare, affordable housing, accessible community resources, equitable financial stewardship, and a strong union presence. Together, we can build a community that prioritizes the well-being and prosperity for all residents
