REGISTER TO VOTE
Click here to register to vote. To register to vote, you must meet the following requirements:

You must be a United States Citizen.

You must be at least 17 years old on or before the date of the Primary Election and turn 18 on or before the date of the General or Consolidated Election (16 year olds may preregister to vote).

You must live in your election precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day.
Update your Voter's Registration
It's important to keep your voter registration up to date, especially if you've recently moved. If your address has changed, make sure to update your registration so that you can vote in the correct district and receive the proper ballots. By updating your information, you ensure that your voice is heard when it matters most.
EARLY VOTING
Early voting is a convenient way to cast your ballot before Election Day. You can find a full list of early voting locations on the DuPage County website. With the exception of municipal elections, the county has early voting locations and adds additional early voting locations as we near the election date.
Our closest location is the Addison Township Office located at 401 N. Addison Road in Addison. The hours are:
Weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
VOTE BY MAIL
In DuPage, you have the option to apply for permanent vote by mail or to request your vote by mail ballot each election. It is important to remember that your vote by mail ballot must be postmarked before election day. You can either place your ballot in your mail box or drop your mail in ballot off at the mail box in the DuPage County Clerk's parking lot. Remember, if you request a vote by mail, but decide to vote in person, you must bring in your vote by mail ballot to vote in person.

What are the polling location hours?
For early voting, hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our closest location is the Addison Township Office located at 401 N. Addison Road in Addison.
On election day, polling locations are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

My family or friend does not speak English, how can they vote if the ballots are only in English?
There are a few things you can do to support them. First, you can bring someone with you to the polling location and they can some to the voting booth with you. This means you are able to translate for them. Second, you are allowed to bring a sample ballot or information with you into the polling location, so you can go through their ballot ahead of time and then they would just need to copy their sample ballot.
Can they demand to see my photo ID when I go vote?
You are not required to present any identification in Illinois when you go vote. That being said, there are very narrow circumstances when a poll worker can request an ID including if you're updating or registering to vote.
What if I am denied a ballot, but I know I am registered to vote?
If you are denied a ballot but you are registered to vote, ask for a Provisional Ballot. When the Poll Worker provides you the provisional ballot, they will also provide you an affidavit which you have to sign and indicate the reason they denied you your ballot. After you vote, you have 14 days after the election to cure, or fix, whatever issue caused your ballot to be denied.
Can I wear a hat/shirt/pin/etc. for candidates I am supporting to the polls?
You will be asked to remove any hats, pins, or cover any political shirts if you wear them to the polls. Wearing politically charged items is considered electioneering and is not allowed within 100 feet of the voting machines.

VOTAR POR CORREO

Mi familiar o amigo no habla inglés, ¿cómo pueden votar si las boletas solo están en inglés?
Hay algunas cosas que puede hacer para apoyarlos. Primero, puede llevar a alguien con usted al centro de votación y esa persona puede acompañarlo a la cabina de votación. Esto significa que usted puede traducir para ellos.
